Some of Jeneece Place's biggest and most helpful supporters are still children themselves. Cohen recently turned seven and raised $75 from his friends and family at his birthday party. He stopped by with his mom and brother to present the cash with a letter he wrote himself. Thanks so much Cohen! Kids like you are why our house exists.

The Easter Bunny set out baskets full of goodies for each of the families staying at the house and hid chocolate eggs in the backyard for the children to hunt. Savory smells wafted from the kitchen as the turkey, potatoes, vegetables, and desserts were prepared. Families sat in the dining room and ate a buffet-style dinner while chatting with each other. Thank you to all the staff, volunteers, and guests who made the day a success!

What a treat to finally meet baby Kendra! It took a long time, and that is a good thing. Kendra’s mom Terri-Ann was admitted to Victoria General Hospital in labour when she was only 27 weeks along. It was a scary time for Terri-Ann and her mother Carmen. But things settled for Terri-Ann, and she was finally discharged from the hospital, as long as she stayed close by. Jeneece Place was the perfect home for her; she was close to the hospital in case she went into labour again, and the house was a peaceful sanctuary for the baby to grow longer.
