On Saturday March 31st Jeneece received a very prestegious honor. She became the very first Canadian youth to receive "The Changing Our World/Simms Award for Outstanding Youth in Plilanthrophy, International Youth Award"
She accepted the award in front of 400 international guests and extraordinary philanthropists. Jeneece also received a standing ovation for her efforts. Thank you Jeneece, you did us all proud.

Saturday Sept 3rd Abigail came to visit with Jeneece and presented her with a cheque for $4,000.00 from the Rotary of Port Hardy. Jeneece in return gave Abigail a friendship bracelet. A huge thank you to the Port Hardy Rotary for their wonderful donation.
I cannot believe how far we have come. The insulation is almost finished and the drywall is going up as we write this. Things are progressing on schedule. Please look at all the new photos on the photo page on flickr they are amazing. Thanks to everyone on such a great job and working together. I am so excited to see the progress.

Just wanted to say a very special thanks to all the contractors who are working on Jeneece Place and helping make my dream come true. Without you this beautiful building wouldn't being going up. All of you are doing a fantastic job. A heartfelt thanks.
I went away for a couple of days and WOW look where we are at? They are getting ready to put the windows in. Next week I am headed to camp, I cant wait until I get back after the 20th of August to see the changes.
Had a great morning at the Broadmeade Village Heirloom Linens store. They held a huge garage sale getting rid of slightly defective bedding and old stock at rock bottom prices. It was a fantastic success and we enjoyed coming out and meeting all the people. I even had a little chat on the radio Jack FM. Thanks so much for all of you who volunteered your time to help out for Jeneece Place and thanks for inviting me along.
At the BC Ferries golf Tournament yesterday at Bear Mountain Resort BC Ferries presented Jeneece another $50,000 dollar cheque for Jeneece Place. When Jeneece wasn't hitting balls on the golf course she could be seen driving the Premier around the grounds. I don't know if Premier Christie Clark had fun but Jeneece sure did.
The TELUS Van Isle 360 is a biennial, point to point race circumnavigating wild and rugged Vancouver Island. Sailed in 10 legs the course provides inshore, offshore and overnight legs through some of the most stunning and challenging waters on the planet. Blast Sailing have commandeered this years race and is supporting Jeneece Place.
I went to Vancouver at the beginning of last week and came home on Friday. I went by the site on Sunday and this is what I saw. WOW! There were no walls up when I left. This was so neat to see. Starting to walk through the site now, I can almost picture the rooms finished and the kids running down the hallways. This is so awesome. Check out more photos on the photo page.
Now things are beginning to take shape. I was by the site yesterday and so happy to see the framing sections already on site and ready for next week. I will be excited to see the progress next week when I return from Children's Hospital.
What an awesome day, the sun is shining, its pretty warm and I'm down at the site of Jeneece Place. The construction workers are letting me help out with the cement flooring. It's great to see how enthusiastic all the fellows are on this project. Tomorrow the framers will start. I can't wait.
I had a great time Tuesday night at the Union Club. The Royal Oak Rotary had a fundraiser to help raise money for food that will go help feeding families that stay at Jeneece Place. What a wonderful and awesome event. I had such a blast and I even won one of the auction items. Please check out the photos on my photo page for more. Thank you for helping me with my dream.
What a fun afternoon I had today. I got to do an interview with Dr.'s Seally and Dr. Hepburn on the radio. Those fellows were really funny. They do a radio show on Sundays that airs across the country and were kind enough to have me on as one of their guests. They promoted Jeneece Place and that was cool. Thanks for the plug, you guys are awesome!
It was a wonderful day at Happy Valley School when Principle, Mrs. Magiera handed over a cheque for over $2,000 that the students had raised over a 2 week period. They did such a wonderful job and I am proud of what they accomplished. I wanted to say thanks again for helping me with my project.
The landscape at Jeneece Place construction site is changing daily. Boy was I surprised to show up there this weekend and to see how far the grounds have come along since April 4th. All I can say is WOW!
