Cheque Presentation
On Sunday July 26th Friends of Ferrari held their annual Ferrari race in Burnaby. The drivers were a bit small but packed a powerful punch as they raced around the race track. The cars were awesome! These crowd was great and the kids had a blast. Thank you to Friends of Ferrari for such a wonderful event. Once again we are very honored that you supported Jeneece Place a project of the Queen Alexandra Foundation.

WOW, the day is finally here. The announcement was made that Jeneece Place will be built on Victoria General Hospital Property not even a one minute walk to the hospital. Many dignitaries came out for the announcement. I would like to thank them all for attending this very special moment. Well folks, my dream is about to unfold. Please check back soon for more photos.

The TELUS Junior Skins played the Bear Mountain course this past Saturday and Sunday. I was on hand to start the Junior Skins off and I was there last night to receive a cheque on behalf of The Queen Alexandra Foundation for the Jeneece Place Project. The youth that participated in this two day event, had a great time even though they had to play in rain and fog on Sunday. I wanted to congratulate all the players for such a wonderful event and to thank them for raising so much money for my dream. You should be very proud that you have helped to make Jeneece Place one step closer to being built. Thanks to TELUS , CJCA and The Westin Bear Mountain Resort for putting on this event. Thanks so much for the money.
As if that wasn’t enough for this past weekend. The Highland’s Pacific Golf Club opened they back 9 holes this past Saturday with the entire Plasterer family present. The event was perfect and the weather co-operated. The family at the opening ceremonies, talked about how they arrived at this point and the history of how the dream of an 18 hole golf course came to be. The proceeds from this day’s events will also be going to The Queen Alexandra Foundation for the Jeneece Place project. I want to personally thank the Plasterer family for helping me make my dream come true and I also want to wish them all the best with their wonderful golf course. If you haven’t been up there you need to check it out!
Finally, I was absolutely tickled to receive a call from the Local CAW here in Victoria. They have always supported my efforts when I was fundraising for Variety. They have been so totally awesome! They called me to tell me they had another cheque, but this time to support my new dream. I am really, very thankful for all the friends and support that I have had within this community. On behalf of The Queen Alexandra Foundation, thank you for your support.

On Saturday April 24th The Friends of Ferrari presented Joy Spencer- Barry from the Queen Alexandra Foundation and I with a $10,000 dollar cheque for the Jeneece Place project. WOW! I was so amazed and excited about their events. They have these really neat tiny cars run by battery and the young kids get to race them. They are really cool!

What an exciting day! Had to get up at the crack of dawn and was picked up by a chauffeur and driven to Bear Mountain. We were going to have a press conference for the TELUS World Skins Game. Three of the 5 golfers have been announced and they are FRED COUPLES, CAMILO VILLEGAS AND MIKE WEIR. WOW! Those are some heavy duty golfers. Then it was introductions to Ken Venturi and the” Production team”. Then into the conference room where we sat at a long table with Ken Venturi, Steve Podborski and others. On the conference call were news stations from all over Canada . Camilo Villegas was on the phone as well. I saw him on TV and his is a really good golfer.
After the conference call it was down to the putting green for some media photo shots. Mr. Venturi gave me some tips on how to put. (psshhh.. he also showed us how to cheat when very near the hole.) Then we did interviews for the media. I then got to drive a golf cart over to the area where we were shooting a promo for this event.
We spent the next few hours shooting the commercial. I mean how many times can you say the same line over and over again with feeling??? I think Mr. Venturi and I both wanted to bop the producer by the time we were finished. We ended up a bit behind so lunch was a 15 minute bite and then off to the sound studio for radio promos. That one went quick. At four in the afternoon we were finally finished and able to return home. It was just a great day and I had loads of fun. Please check out my pictures on my photo page. On March 27th I went to Vancouver for an award from Global Agents for Change. This group is entirely run by youth. They empower young leaders and social change agents through innovative projects, education and outreach and events.
It was the 4th Annual Global Agents for Change Gala and Young Agents Awards. The evening Gala brought together over 200 community leaders, young professionals and supporters. It was hosted by Citytv Breakfast Television Riaz Meghji .
Awards were given out for local projects that brought change or awareness within the community and International projects that brought change. The youth were between the ages of 14 and 19.
I would like to thank Clay for allowing me the opportunity to touch base with some very innovative youth.

Canada Vs SLV first game of womens prelim round
Hey everyone! I had an awesome time watching the women’s Olympic hockey. I got tickets to the first game in the preliminary round Canada vs Slovakia. Canada won the game 18 to zero.
